August has always felt like nature’s gentle reminder to slow down, breathe deeply, and savor the beauty that surrounds us. The warm sunshine, long summer evenings, peaceful walks through the forest, kayaking on a quiet lake, or simply enjoying a morning coffee on a favorite terrace all invite us to reconnect with ourselves and with the present moment.
This summer has brought unexpected challenges in my life. After the flood in my basement this past June, there have certainly been moments of stress, uncertainty, and many decisions to make. Yet through it all, I continue to return to the same truth that I share with my students and clients: every challenge carries an opportunity for growth, healing, and transformation.
As we enter the powerful energies of the Lion’s Gate Portal, peaking on August 8th (8:8), many people view this time as an invitation to awaken more fully to who we truly are.
